Proverbs on Friendship

(Prov. 12:26) The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

(Prov. 13:20) Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

(Prov. 17:17) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

(Prov. 18:24) One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

(Prov. 20:6) Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?

(Prov. 22:24) Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, 25 or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.

(Prov. 27:10) Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family, and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you—better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.

(Prov. 27:17) As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
