Will God save everyone in the end?

Claim:

Universalists claim that God will save everyone in the end, because Paul wrote that Christ will unite all things in heaven and on Earth. Is this the case?

Response:

The context of this verse refers to those chosen in Christ (Eph. 1:4) –not all human beings. Moreover, we need to harmonize passages like this with other passages on hell. The Bible clearly teaches that some people will not be in heaven; sadly, they will freely separate themselves from God eternally in hell (Rev. 20:11-15; Mt. 25:31-46; 2 Thess. 1:9; Mt. 26:24).
