Proverbs on Poverty

(Prov. 10:15) The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor.

(Prov. 22:7) The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender. (Prov. 30:8-9) Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
