Proverbs on Sovereignty

(Prov. 3:5-6) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

(Prov. 16:3) Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

(Prov. 16:9) In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

(Prov. 19:21) Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

(Prov. 20:24) A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?

(Prov. 21:1) In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.

(Prov. 21:30) There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.

(Prov. 22:12) The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
