Proverbs on Gossip

(Prov. 11:12) Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.

(Prov. 11:13) A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.

(Prov. 13:3) Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.

(Prov. 16:28) A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.

(Prov. 20:19) A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.
