The war with Canaan is contained in three premier passages: the Israelites departed from Sinai (Numbers 20-22), crossed the river and took over parts of southern Canaan (Josh. 6-10), and then took over northern Canaan (Josh. 11). The book of Deuteronomy also speaks about this in various passages as well (Deut. 2, 7-9, 20:16-18).
